By share you mean spout any old s**te in the hope that someone's listening?

All these social networks end as spamming devices. They may well all start out as a useful way to keep in touch with a community; but eventually someone twigs that his/her (now extensive) contact list can be exploited for some sort of gain.

On FaceBook I only friend with people I'm friends with in real life and last.fm seems to be relatively free of spam (just the occasional invite to a gig); but I'd be surprised if some are less fortunate than me in their choice of friends.
