Can't help thinking beating Barnsley could be

the worst thing to happen to this club. Obviously lots of people will disagree with this after what, on the face of it atleast, was a good 4-0 result. But I can't help thinking that our wonderful board are overjoyed that it gives them a great excuse to put the cheap option in place. I cannot believe so many people are being fooled by one result against a very poor team. All this Facebook nonsense from his daughter! What does she know? Bryan Gunn is a legend. Agreed. But he has no proper coaching experience whatsoever and in the position we are in we desperately need someone who is confident and knows what he is doing. It's all very well some people saying "Give him till the end of the season". It could well be too late then! I'm sorry, but he is just not appropriate for the situation and if you think he is then, much like the NCFC board, you are deluded. Much as I hate to say it (because personally I think he is a bit of a prattish David Brent type figure with all that daft microphone wearing in the dugout) I guess Boothroyd probably is the best bet. Or failing that, Iain Dowie. Atleast they know what they're doing and have done it all before. But Bryan Gunn? No way because the sack comes to the vast majority of managers at some point and I don't want to be giving him the same stick at CR that Roeder/Grant/Hamilton/Worthington etc got when it turned sour (which it inevitably will). They deserved it, Gunn doesn't. Which is why I think it would be disasterous for him aswell as the club if he got the gig.
