Just back from the match

A few observations:

Pushing Sammy further forward and having Foz sit in front of the back 4 was a masterstroke. We got last year's Foz back and Sammy was still great. If experience is worth anything how come Roeder never thought of that.

Giving Wes free reign also worked well, and boy did he tackle back today.

Substituting like for like when things are going well: not rocket science yet seldom done, and all 3 got assists.

I've spent years (it feels like) watching Worthington, then Grant, then Roeder send out teams to lump the ball onto Big Dave's head making him look like a great defender. FINALLY someone decided that we should just try to turn him, and he looked like an idiot.

Memo to the board: don't bother with psychometric testing, or due diligence, or asking the advice of "Sir" Booby Racist, use the evidence of your eyes.

And I'll have a pint of whatever Roy McCrohan's drinking. Wonderful!
