Yes, some of his signings were a success. But there's as many that weren't!
Yeah, he knew people whose clubs had good youngsters but we can't keep them! Grounds looks great from what I've seen (2 games) but he was called back sharpish and could do again. Then what have we got? Nothing. Shackell could've been good enough you know. He had something, but lost his way. And how did we spend the money we got for him? I imagine it paid various loan arrangement fees yet we've been plonking Omo, Grounds, Drury, Clingan in at the back!
Also, Spillane would be as good in RB/CB as Omozusi but we pay to get someone else in and alienate a youngster.
