Watford have been in a worse mess than us for years

behind the scenes, as regular readers of the Watford Observer will know. This culminated earlier this season in Elton John resigning as life president in protest.

Such is the mess at Watford that, where we replaced an unsafe stand and increased our capacity, they have had to postpone redevelopment and close the old stand on the left as you look from the away end (for those of you who know the ground). This is despite their being part owned by a billionaire.
