Crushing sense of despair

Anyone else feeling that this morning? If so, I take it it's now OK to be bloody concerned about exactly where this club is headed?

Anyway, enough of that. I actually have a golden rule when it comes to managers. When they fall below an average of 1.25 pts/league game, they're in trouble. When they fall below 1.2 pts/league game, they're toast. It's remarkable how often this is the case at many clubs. Last season, defeat at QPR took Peter Grant's record to 53 points from 45 games, meaning he fell below the line for the first time - cue his exit. Glenn Roeder's record currently stands at 73 points from 60 games, giving him a ratio of 1.22. If we lose on Saturday, it'll fall below 1.2.

Of course, any board with even half a brain would act right now, just as it would've acted after the Sheff Wed game last season, and the Sheff Wed game in 2005/6 - but that's just not the 'Norwich way', is it? So we have to go through an action replay of QPR and Burnley instead, throwing away another game into the bargain. Incidentally, like DiscoDaleGordon, I wouldn't trust this board to run a bath, let alone get the next appointment right (by 'right appointment', I mean Boothroyd and Mackay) - but it's only a matter of time for Roeder now. One more game, more than likely.
