I agree that keeping us in this division was a stunning achievment....

...last season given how far up a certain creek without a paddle we looked. But football (as dean windass knows) is not a place for sentiment. He did very well last season and has had some money this season, he has had the hundreds of thousands of pounds to spend and has brought in some good permanent signing but has squandered money elsewhere. The money spent on T AH and Koroma could have brought in a lower league player on a permanent deal. I'm not saying that every manager has a hit with every signing but I don' think he has spent the money afforded him as intelligently as he could have. The real problem is his man management skills, this season we have too often been let down by a perceived lack of effort or players playing out of position or questionably tactics and formations. These are all Roeder's doing. The players can play, look at Forest away, Scum and a few other games even some we lost so why can;t we do it consistently? Fozzy is the wrong choice for captain, reward the best players, give it to Patty or Clingan tell them to use their mouth and keep the players going, we used to have Flem, Mackay, Iwan and Green who even when not captain would get others around them going, under Roeder our players seem to have lost their confidence. I think that a new manager who motivated and managed the players in a more effective manner would keep us up without having to spend any money. Our team is acceptable for mid table side. Lupoli, Hoolahan, Corft, Clingan, Doc, Grounds, Marshall etc are all good players but they just aren;t playing. That is why I think a different manager would be the right move, I don't know who, Holloway would be good at it i think (though his recent record hardly sets the world alight, or Tilson but that would be for the board to decide.

Oh well, hopefully something will change, maybe some rich person who has supported Nodge all their life will come out of the woodwork, or I could win the Euromillions and pump some money in. Here's hoping for a cup run and pick up in form.
