Cheers was great! As is The Simpsons. Roseanne was good too - for a while anyway

But that really is about it for Yank comedy. The rest is dull, unsubtle, unfunny s**te in my opinion. They even managed to make The Office unfunny. As you say, Seinfeld was highly rated by Brit critics; but I couldn't stand it. Haven't seen this Curb Your Enthusiasm though; but my expectations would be low.

Was Friends supposed to be a comedy?
