Our FA Cup record is, basically, iron pyrite, with the feats of the 59ers giving it an undeserved lustre.

OK, we reached the 6th round in 63 & 83, and the SF in 59, 89 & 92.

But historically we often fall at the first hurdle - between '69 and '86 we did it eleven times, and in that 18-season period we won a total of only 12 FA cup ties.
