Well

Firstly i would like to think i would not have completely destroyed his confidence in the first place by slagging him off and dropping him from the squad whilst retaining others who have been no better.

Secondly I might have sent him out on loan somewhere if that was what he wanted but not to a team who were (at the time) a relegation rival.

Thirdly I would have kept in touch with him whilst away and made it clear that if he does well on loan and gets his confidence back the door remains very much open for him.

In my mind I have absolutely no doubt that Roeder does not want Cureton back (same with Martin and Spillane if you read his comments about them) and part of the reason for that is that he knows Curo is a bit of a character and still (largely) popular with the fans.
