also wasn't Carroll stopping Lita from scoring an open goal?

i know footballers are thick, but if he was 'trying to throw the game' then surely allowing him to score would be the wiser choice than trying to take Lita's head off to ensure he doesn't and from which the resulting penalty is not a given
