....but point is that we currently don't have a proper right midfielder, and we need one.

don't like to hang too much on a young loanee (we know where that can lead...) but Marney does sound like he'd fit pretty well.

Mate at work is chummy with someone quite close to it all. Says that Jol really rates him (he's one of only two of their crop of youngsters - other being Kelly - that he really likes) - but Jol wants him eventually to be an attacking right-back. Whereas Marney wants to play in midfield. Compromise is that Jol will loan him out (they have TONS of midfielders) to someone who'll play him in midfield for a season, to see how he gets on.

so he gets forward, but also can track back and tackle. And really has something to prove. I think he could, as they say, do a job for us.
