Post Mortem on Watford

1/ Hartson - is it possible that he has lost fitness during the month he has been with us? He was an embarrassment to pro football this evening. If ever a game defined the phrase "last game of a loan period" it was tonight.

2/ Jimmy Smith - I know you might have been selected out of position, but put the effort in, otherwise you'll be playing at Kings Lynn. A worse effort than Hartson, at least he can use the excuse that he is overweight. If ever a game defined the phrase "last chance saloon" it was tonight. If I can make the effort of a 240 mile round trip to see the game, I'd appreciate if you could at least look interested.

3/ Glen Roeder - yes I know you are new to the city job but what were those subs about then? We'd just got back into the game and Lee Croft gets sent to the left wing and Chris Martin is off to the right. A complete f**k up on your part. If that had been Duffy or Grant the knives would have been out.

4/ Watford - functional, and one of the worst top of the table teams to I've seen. Hassle, chase, close down, nudge, push, hoof, punt, tackle, long ball, channel ball, safety first. Is Boothroyd the messiah. Not from what I saw tonight.

5/ No Hucks no outlet, and at least he'll keep their right mid occupied when he's on.

6/ What has Lee Croft done to deserve being on the bench?
