What is Gazza doing at the moment....?

I was under the impression that the coach and assistant manager that Glen wanted where both in current jobs at the moment, a fact confirmed by the appointment of Lee Clarke.

If Gazza is out of football at the moment (which I think he is) would that not rule him out, making this an unfounded rumour?
