it turns out that Evans is buying the £32m of Morley debt at a price of 20p in the £ ! . He is also putting in £12m via a cash subscription for shares .

Being cynical he will still own the Morley debt that will then be owed to him . I assume that he will put this on terms such that the club does not have the interest payments to service . But the money will still be due to him .

In theory his investment is very good news as in addition to the £12m the club will not have the interest to pay on the debt .

Why is he doing this ? God knows....Perhaps he feels it is a cheap price to pay for a club that he can then finance till it gets to the land of milk and honey and he can then get something back . I actually doubt it . No hard headed businessman ( which he is ) would invest in a Championship club as a business decision . I suspect that despite being a reclusive character he just fancied owning a football club ...an ego thing .
