Both of which werent anywhere near relegation when he took over.
Had a good 3 months at Newcastle after taking over from Souness who had lost the dressing room, but the following season they again slid down the league.
Kept Gillingham in the football league (2nd bottom) in his first job many years ago and quit.
Never actually had much success anywhere.
