Indeed

Just got back in from the game... etc etc

We were 2-0 up after about 10 minutes, Eagle straight from a corner in the first minute, and O'Toole from a free kick on the edge of the area. Then, just like the first team, we fail to hold on to any possession in midfield (Brellier and Jarvis, no different to normal, sadly considering they're playing for a place) and by half-time Southend are 4-2 up. All down to woeful marking and giving the ball away needlessly. Gilks not at fault as far as I could see.

After the break we were a little better, but still Southend were the better team. We got back to 4-3, with a fine goal by Luke Daley, who was one of the bright spots - very quick. Then, despite Gilks saving a one-on-one (I don't think it was the first either), they broke the off-side again and finished it off.

Strangely, 5 of the goals were at the River end, which felt a bit weird.
