And then we lost three of our most important players. I also agree that we're crying out for the sort of Sporting Director setup which works so well on the continent: young, hungry coach working under an experienced figure with huge knowledge and a wide range of contacts. I realise this has been a disaster at Spurs - but that's because they have a charlatan, cock and possible Arsenal spy in the role there.

Get it right, and have two people who embrace it and want to work with each other, and it's definitely the way to go: the lack of footballing expertise in our boardroom is absolutely frightening.
