You need to watch a lot of any sport to avoid bafflement

I don't watch ice hockey or basketball and when I do see it have no idea what is going on but have watched american football and baseball for years and can see the strategy and tactics and appreciate good play.

What is going on here is that Miami, having a season of Canary style results are putting up a real fight but giving away fouls all over the place and just falling short. Cast the Giants as West Brom, a team in form that should be winning comfortably.
