Heck, a journalist/agent/general footballing factotum/friend of mine, who seems to know just about everyone within the game (honestly, I'm not kidding), actually suggested to me in all seriousness I should email Doncaster and arrange a quiet drink with him one-to-one, just to discuss where as fans we think he's been going wrong. I scoffed at first - but my mate got where he did by using his initiative, and it's something I should take heed of really.
