If you were sitting in that tube train and thought he (Menezes) was a suicide bomber you would jump for joy at the sight of the police making sure he wasn't able to trigger the device and blow you up. Was a mistake made? Yes. Did the police "gleefully" shoot him? No. They were probably kacking themselves as they were chasing him down into a crowded space, to try and stop what they thought was a suicide bomber.

And then t**ts like you spout that sort of crap. So easy to criticise with 20/20 hindsight. So easy to say this or that should be done. But try making the decision yourself when you don't know if these are your last moments on this earth and adrenalin is pumping. As for running away.... they thought he was trying to get into as big a crowd as possible to cause as much death as possible. That is the nature of a suicide bomber.
