Caller says one thing, Adams tries to get them to think about things from the opposite angle - which is the sort of thing that should make for a good debate, except that most callers absolutely refuse to see anything except from their own moronically small viewpoint (which is something that happens all too often on here too)

the fact that most of the callers slag off the club does kind of make it seem that Adams is more of a club apologist then he actually is, but on those rare occasions when callers do phone in with praise, he does try to get them to temper their over-enthusiasm by again trying to get them to see things from the opposite angle
