and was the first time i'd really properly listened to them - and then refused to listen to almost anything other than them for the next 8-12 months (well i was a spotty 15 year old at the time...)

apparently Hetfield has since had singing lessons. no idea if they've worked though as i haven't heard anything they've done since the Black album
