are 2 entirely different things. I wouldn't risk it and I'm pretty sure a law firm wouldn't either.
The only way to make Jewell safe would be an amendment to the contract and are they really going to bother doing that just to facilitate him getting another job.
Also what else are the club waiting for?
In case you hadn't guessed I'm desperatly hoping it's going to be Jewell.
