Unfortunately having wasted
that sort of money on Chris Brown it is unlikely that the Board will sanction precious money being spent on a similar style striker. Unfortunately Chris Brown has not impressed when he has been fit enough to play. He clearly puts in the effort but he is laboured in his running style and thus lacks pace; rarely won the ball in the air; was not very good at holding the ball up and failed to score or assist a goal. Dublin going up front on Sunday shows how effective a strike partnership of a decent target and hold up man who can score his fair share of goals and Ernie would be. I fear that Chris Brown is not that man and I am wondering whether our scouts ever even saw Chris Brown play before recommending to the club spending money on him - a panic buy it seems.
I agree though that Cresswell would be a good target man but doubt whether this would be in Grant`s mind as apriority bearing in mind that Brown was his signing.
