Sorry hit the enter key too soon -

When was being a Norwich legend a pre-requisite to being a good manager?

PG was a very ordinary player for us, admittedly playing towards towards the end of his career, but from the way he played on the pitch he looked to be an organiser. He didn't get the nickname Peter the Pointer for nothing.

An easy choice would have been one to appease the fans. The Board appointed the best available candidate in their opinion. It was Bowen or Crook or someone else who was not available or our of our price range.

All my west Ham mates think he did a good job there and will be a loss at Upton Park.

Let's at least give him a chance - or is that too much to ask for some?
