JW: “The mood is okay. This week was about creating energy in training and environment.”

JW: “I arrived at my golf day yesterday at 6:30pm, as I was busy here. So thanks to the guys for running that for a really good cause.”

JW on JHT: “When you are so close to it you don’t always feel it. I most say, I really enjoyed my time with Glen and Johannes. The way they see the game is similar to how I see the game. The club have made it clear that still goes on.”

JW: “I understand when I was thinking about this press conference you’d ask me that question. I’ve been in this role for two and half days. I made the decision to leave Arsenal when I felt ready for first team football, so with that in mind I think I’m ready to be a head coach at this level.”

JW: “I think Johannes done some outstanding work. Some of the football this season has been amazing and we don’t want to go away form that. But I want to see a team that’s hungry and prove people wrong.”

JW: “I’ve spoken to Glen and I will reach out to Johannes. But I’ll let the dust settle a bit before I speak to him.”

JW: "“I’m a hungry individual. Since the day I started coaching, I wanted to be a head coach.”

JW: “You have to seek advice and have the humility to do that. I sit in the position as interim Norwich head coach. I’d be crazy not to reach out to people who have been in similar positions.”

JW: “This is not about Jack Wilshere. This is about the players performing. My job was about lifting the players for the next two games. Not an audition.”

JW: “We’ve all just come together and understood the focus. We’ve had support from Joe and Dec from the U21 staff. The one thing you need is unity and that’s what we are trying to do.”

*Angus Gunn has been back training. He is available for tomorrow*

JW on Ante Crnac: “He’s doing well. This game might come a little bit soon for him.”

JW on Matej Jurasek: “It’s day by day with him.”

*No other injury updates other than the longer-term absentees.*

JW: “When I got the phone call from Ben, there was this nervous and excited feeling. I’ve not had that feeling since making a debut for a new team. I will try use that energy to focus and give it to the players.”
