Just got in. I'm parched.

Working round some house today and the bloke living there seemed very friendly to begin with, very generous and polite by offering to put the kettle on almost as soon as i walked in the door. I asked for tea but he only had coffee so not wanting to be rude i said yes please. As i don't like coffee i had no intention of drinking it and had already spotted a plant pot to chuck it in when he wasn't looking.

Well that backfired as he thought i liked it because i drank it so quick and so asked if i wanted another. Again, not wanting to be rude i said ok ta. This time i "accidentally" spilt it on the patio/lawn.

Well f**k me if he only went and made me another without asking me if i wanted one. I politely quipped "i'll be pissing like a race horse if you keep this up all day".

This seemed to upset him and he told me that he usually makes about 9 cups a day for the other tradespeople. i told him this was a bit ott. This upset him even more and he proceeded to get his phone out and ask the internet if he was right which took ages and i had to pretend to drink the coffee till he foxtrot oscared.

He never asked me again and i only had half a bottle of 2 week old stale water in the van.
