problem is, who is there with a solid track record in the championship that has potential?

Any manager that has done very well won’t want to come. The only options with championship experience will have mediocre levels of success.

My understanding of the club’s model is that we go for young players with potential and progressive young coaches with potential to go on to greater things.

JHT didn’t work out, but I don’t think that means we shouldn’t persist with the same strategy, just need to try and find someone better this time.

What would be the point in going for a Dean Smith type?
