it's mad that the usa is driving the growth of the eu via the war in ukraine

in numerous areas not least trade but also as an example where the us hold back on selling patriot and himars systems needed for the defence of the ukraine (and thus the eu) the eu steps in and fills the void. either by providing eu kit or giving ukraine the financial means and knowhow to produce their own arms manufacturing capabilites. the uk are very much key actors in this but there are many and some surprising ones.

so it's not all doom and gloom, apart from the footy obvs.
