Two clubs both rate him at, say, 50m. Club One says, 30m to Ipswich, 20m to you Liam. Club Two says, 40m to Ipswich, 10m to you Liam.
You are Liam. Which choice do you make?
Unless (entirely possible) I've misunderstood and Ipswich would be able to choose Club Two and only then allow the player and buying club to negotiate personal terms. But I thought with a release fee, if someone matches it, you can already start those negotiations.
