Well if the new lads are any good then it was ALMOST perfect....
CDM...bolted on, with perm agreed if he's any good
CB....bolted on perm
Sainz backup....one loan and one perm bolted on
RW alternative.....bolted on
Gordon sent back and Hills and Aboh out on new loans
Even more perfect would have been another striker as we now have only one in the entire squad (who is injury prone), and another keeper to replace Long although 1) I doubt the coaching staff agree with that given the new contract and 2) we already have alternatives for backup keeper and we persist with Long anyway
