The obvious thing to me is that we seem to have repeated the stubbornness
We started the season with one recognised striker, brackets injury prone close brackets, and one pensionable striker, brackets gone close brackets.
I'm excited about bringing in new talent, and totally accepting that it's not going to be 100% hit rate - I mean isn't that recruitment in general.
But we seem to swing from inexperienced and not filling vital roles, as bit us in the PL on two visits, to experienced but not very good and *still* not filling the roles that Farke identified were needed.
So far we're just seeing a different sort of not quite getting it from Knapper that we did with Webber. And of course we're not going to get ideal players in every role - that's why it is a transition. But surely there must be something that's a bit less loads of one thing and none of the other, or vice versa.
And that's also why Dobbin is getting stick - he's not very good, and that's not the issue in itself, it's just the latest in a line of not very goods which get hidden when you have a couple of very goods. But Chrisene is still a work in progress (and not sure where that's progressing to), Dobbin similarly, and so that left side was totally exposed to a very talented player in Dan James. And no options.
So while I still think patience is needed, and I see no value at all in any management changes because I think this is a team that understands the problem, and probably has the guile to take it through, they're going to have to either explain the time it's going to take to make progress, or get some support and not keep bringing in another random set.
