Has he refused to play for us on the morning of an important game then?
No.
All we have is some tweet from some b**s**tter on Twitter which will definitely not be true.
He may well be up for a move if the opportunity arises but if he keeps playing and performing for us as he has been then I have no issue.
I’m very torn on Sainz. On the one hand his finishing is fantastic and I don’t think £22m is enough for us to consider selling at a time when our team is developing nicely. I think he’s worth more to us.
On the other hand im not 100% convinced by him in terms of ability to cut it at the very top level. He has a great shot on him and scores spectacular goals but he doesn’t see a pass or a through ball that well and he doesn’t have the pace to beat a man on the outside regularly. In short, I do think he can be snuffed out by a good, quick full back. Thankfully we don’t encounter that many of those!
