JHT with us shortly…
-----------------------

JHT on team news: “Gabe (Forsyth) suffered knee pain after the game. He will miss the game tomorrow and we will have to scan him. He had this knock before half-time, where he felt sore.”

JHT on Josh Sargent: “It’s going to require surgery, so we are talking eight weeks.”

JHT: “Without knowing there will be 12-15 games before the January window. We are busy trying to find solutions as we are low on numbers.”

JHT on Crnac: “We have to adapt everything, where we are as a team and what players are available. We need to find the best possible position for each player to bring their quality and personality.”

JHT on Oscar Schwartau: “We didn’t expect him to play so much this early. We felt the first season he’d find his feet in the Championship. Then second season compete for a starting place, but he’s in there and doing well.”

JHT on Forson: “We have had a lot of talks with him to support him. It’s a little bit difficult for him at the minute. He suffered that injury at Crystal Palace and then the own goal at Swansea. It was a tough start for him in a new country and culture.”

JHT on Chrisene: “There’s no wildcards in a team like this. We try to build here competition in every position, we know that’s a bit different now. We hope to have that back after the national team break. He’s also had a bit of a dip in confidence, but we hope he can build this back up.”

JHT on Grant Hanley: “He’s a big part in terms of leadership. It’s tough for him as he sees two players performing on a good level, so he knows it won’t be overnight he’ll be back in the team. But he’s doing everything he can, he supports all his teammates.”

JHT on SWFC: “It’s going to be a big test for us, which is why everybody was so down after the result against Cardiff. We were so close to reaching the perfect performance for the circumstances we are in. We’ll have to defend well again tomorrow.”

JHT: “It’s always a balance. We still have the results with us while we are building. I’m pleased with some of the performances and results we’ve had this season, but there’s room for improvement.”

*JHT states that Jacob Sorensen will have to start again tomorrow*

JHT on Sainz contract: “I hope Ben is thinking about it and I know he is. I don’t think about it in terms of their salary or contract length. He could take another step tomorrow, as he could step up and be a leader tomorrow.”
