Press news in...

A warm October afternoon at Colney and Dub's is on it 🌤️
-----------------------------------------------------------------

JHT on team news: “No. It’s the same and hopefully some of the guys who have been out for a while are coming back. We expect Fassnacht back next week.”

*Angus Gunn’s had two injections and is still suffering pain. JHT still expects him out for another two weeks from now.*

JHT on Nunez: “We need to be conservative with him. Let’s see if we can get him back before the international break.”

JHT: “I don’t expect too many changes, but maybe one or two. This is maybe the best lead up to a game for us, as we’ve had a couple of days before the Middlesbrough game.”

JHT on Kaide Gordon: “We don’t have too many positions out there that feel safe. He’s been doing well. He can dribble and is a good finisher, so it’s good to have that option from the bench.”

JHT on Jack Wilshere: “He was one of the first for us to mention for what we are trying to build here with the young players. He fits very well into our club and vision. He was one of the candidates from day one.”

JHT on Jack Wilshere: “He can bring in all his experience from playing, so he can give a different view on a topic. On the first few days here, he’s a very good fit for us.”

JHT on Delia and Michael: “I’ve known them for four or five months, but I can feel it. The warm welcome they gave Glen and I, but also our family. We had a great night, with a great dinner in July. It was such a warm welcome. She texts me after a good performance.”

JHT on Delia and Michael: “You can talk about financials, but it’s about the feeling you get. Even my mum has met Delia and said how fantastic it was. They were invited in for dinner as well. It gives me that extra motivation to win for the football club after the love they give us.”

JHT on Preston: “After a game like that, it’s the culture we try to build here where we can be open and critical. Nobody in the dressing room was happy with that performance. It’s important we can be critical and say it wasn’t good enough.”

JHT on #Boro: “They are more defending spaces and covering spaces as a unit. We have to be good in our positional game and anticipate the game well. We need to create offensive patterns that we can rely on. We want to get control in the game.”

JHT on #Boro: “They have a clear style of playing and the players are comfortable in doing it. When they are good, they are very good. But like all the other games it’s down to us. It’s a good test to where we are.”

JHT on home crowd: “We should expect it’s going to be a tight one. There will be moments in the game where we have to defend and get that support. We need it and it will be important for us. We want another good performance to give the fans a good Sunday.”

Question from PATB JHT: "We don't like to talk about our vegetable patch but we have potatoes and parsnips and vibrant greens and asparagus"
