Press news in...

🔙 at Colney again.
----------------------

JHT on Marcelino Nunez: “We will scan him today and then we have a better view. We are talking tomorrow and the game on Sunday (not available). It’s better than expected, so I’m a little bit more optimistic.”

JHT on team news: “Everyone else is fine. I’m hoping Gunny might be on the grass on Sunday after the game.”

JHT: “The way Nacho has been playing with his quality and form, it will be hard to replace him. We need to find solutions.”

JHT on Sorensen: “The plan is to bring him tomorrow. He won’t be in a position to start, but we hope to give him minutes.”

*Fassnacht is still not back training with the group, but JHT expects him back next Monday.*

JHT on the first team coach search: “When is the next press conference. Can we say something Friday?”

*JHT confirms Jack Wilshere is the one they are looking to appoint*

JHT reflections on Stoke: “I had the feeling after the game, that if we could have kept the momentum and quality from the first half, it would have been a good game for us. I’m still a little bit disappointed as the first half was so good.”

JHT: “One point at Stoke was okay. Sometimes one point away from home is okay. But we have higher expectations.”

JHT: “It’s about having fresh legs and energy for the game tomorrow. We can see if we can fix the things that went wrong at Stoke. It’s about how we perform tomorrow night and fight hard.”

JHT on data/stats: “I’m pleased with the way that we approached the game at Stoke and some of the others away games. We can now expect to go and be the team to dominate. It take lots of training and analysis to be able to do that.”

JHT on #PNEFC: “We are excited. We have to do everything we can to make it a game decided with our quality. It’s a physical and strong side in Preston. When we are good, we can be really good, and that’s what we need to do on Tuesday.”

JHT on Attanasio: “I would say exactly the support you hope for as a head coach. They were interested in our thoughts, and then they ask how they can support. They are the perfect ownership moving forward. They want to be here even more, as they watch all our games.”

JHT: “I have the same feeling with Ben (Knapper) and Neil (Adams). It’s about teamwork outside of a football team. We have to be aligned on the strategy and we are aligned.”
