I would say it could be, but isn't necessarily
as I don't think a "thrashing" is simply score line dependent.
A 3 goal win could be a thrashing, but only if it's the result of a really dominant performance.
For example, when we beat Brentford 3-0 back under the Neil Adams era, it was not a thrashing as all three goals came fairly late on in what was generally an even match.
Whereas, I think it would be difficult to win by 4 goals without being dominant, so always a thrashing at that stage.
