Ours is the same set up

They have been given a weekly limit that covers the main meal each day and anything over that gets taken out of their pocket money - it's linked to their own bank accounts and not mine, so they see any overspend and they keep any underspend.

Year 7 so letting them settle in a bit and giving them some leeway to get used to the prices of things, but they have been told not to rinse it (so they dont).
