Corinthians Refused To Take Penalties...
...if they were awarded one, they wouldn't take it (passed back to keeper, presumably) as their team belief was that no gentleman opponent would ever knowingly foul one of them.
If one was awarded against them, they would remove their goalie from the pitch to ensure they were punished for their own foul play.
