Press conference coming up at 1️⃣.3️⃣0️⃣pm 🗞️
---------------------------------------------------

JHT on Forson: “Better news than expected. He was on the pitch today. It seems like he will be in for minutes at the game on Saturday.”

JHT on team news: “Everything is fine (no issues from Palace).”

JHT on Jacob Sorensen: “Five weeks from now is realistic (for a return).”

JHT on Palace: “I was not pleased with the goals we conceded. With all due to respect to Palace, we gave goals away too easy. The first and fourth I’m not satisfied with. It’s why I was annoyed with the performance after. We should have done better.”

JHT: “I think what’s a thing to look at is the type of chances we create. They start to look the same. The players look confident. Now it’s about converting these chances. We should have made it 1-1 after their first goal.”

JHT: “People wouldn’t describe me as the most patient person. But I have to be as a coach. It will take time to shape our identity. We made a step forward again on Tuesday.”

JHT: “There’s a chance in the future we play with two left-footed CB’s.”

JHT on the transfer window: “It’s been exciting. There’s been some busy weeks. We celebrate with a beer when the window closes. That clarity is good for everyone from players to staff.”

JHT: “Everything we have done so far has been planned. You can’t plan which clubs will buy your players but you can be ready. All the players we’ve brought in have been scouted for months and some years.”

JHT on Slimane: “We are trying. Let’s see how it goes.”

JHT: “We need one more midfielder. If we bring in one more further player it will be linked to the Abu (Kamara) position.”

JHT: “If Abu (Kamara) stays then he will be part of the squad. At the moment there’s nothing acceptable. He will be available for the trip to Coventry if he remains at City."

JHT on younger players going out on loan: “We are trying to work out if it’s beneficial for them to go out on loan in League One or Two. Some will stay here and benefit from the training regime.”

JHT on getting the first win: “I want to win every game we play. If it’s two games in a row we haven’t won, I will be frustrated. Doesn’t matter if it’s five or ten games. I want to win every game.”

That’s all from JHT at Colney for today 🤝
