Rowe made himself unavailable at the first whiff Marseille were interested. The deal was some way off being complete, and in fact Marseille hadn't made an offer anywhere close to being acceptable.

Sounds like in the Slimane situation, the deal actually is close to being done.

Also, he's only ever been a bit part player at Sheff United, and it was a pointless league cup tie at Barnsley.
