Back from the match

Gulf between PL and Champs is enormous, particularly Eze and Matteta but also players like Hughes and then Wharton who constantly keep the ball moving and are able to dictate the game.

Thought Nunez and McLean were good in tight spaces and encouraging to see they can play how JHT wants, I'd like to see them push further up the field in our build up. A double pivot is fine but playing so close to our CBs keeps us playing in our own third a lot of the time. My biggest concern with the midfield is that if Sargent has an off day we've got very little goal threat. I'd be surprised if the midfield gets more than 5 goals between them at the moment.

Thought Oscar looked immediately up to speed, looks like a physical presence, good touch, movement and vision. From his cameo I don't think he could have done much else, except bury his chance but looked like a great reaction save from where I sat.

Crnac fairly quiet. My view not great in the first half but think it was him that was saved before Forsyth hit the post? Perhaps could have done better from that? Had a few glimpses of promise, I would say looked better out wide. Pretty tough evening so won't judge him on one game.

Hernandez looked like a good outlet, offers us same pace and directness that we don't otherwise have. Hints of final year of contract about him, suspect he won't get another.

Thought our fans were excellent from the start, the "we've got the ball" was incredible. Selhurst Park as bad as everyone here mentioned earlier. Their fans pretty given plenty of opportunities to make noise didn't.
