Would Wagner have started Forsyth against Blackburn last week? No.

Wagner was an obstacle in terms of promoting youth in to the first team, that is pretty clear. We now have a manager (and perhaps a philosophy) that is the complete opposite of that.

Yes, a lot of the younger players last season wouldn't have been good enough and Wagner was justified not to do so. But given a choice between an experienced player and a younger player of equal ability, Wagner showed that he would go with experience.
