PL a very different challenge

Sargent shown to be a good signing, but young and not helped by playing wide. Rashica had pedigree but also probably not suited to being a winger in a team which would be on the back foot. Tzolis was badly managed but has shown quality since.

Midfield the signings on paper also OK, PLM has done well in France, Kabak and Norman were obvious upgrades, Gilmour also a good player. Just none of it stuck and not signings for the long term/with relegation in mind. Needed a team that could grow and recover from going down, not fall apart but also not be one where we could recoup the investment.
