JHT on squad news: “It’s the same. Lungi is out for a handful of weeks. Barnes is looking good and is going according to the plan, but still a few weeks with him.”

JHT on Jose Cordoba: “Yeah, that is fair to say (in a position to start). We need to be careful but he played last Saturday and is in our plan for tomorrow.”

JHT on Ante Crnac: “He’s a good technical player who cover a number of positions in the forward area.”

JHT on Ante Crnac: “We are really excited to have him in the building. I think it will take time. It’s competitive and a lot of games in a tough league, but that’s what he needed for a next step.”

JHT: “It’s not something we planned at the start of the season (signing left footed players). We don’t just sign left footers. Maybe a right footed player might be in the building soon.”

JHT on Oscar Schwartau: “It’s getting close.”

JHT on Jon Rowe: “I hope the fans will forgive him in the future and we can be in a place to welcome him back in the future. The last couple of weeks has been better and he accepted what he done was wrong.”

JHT: “I think more of less everything around this transfer window has been positive. Not many clubs can sell for big fees and replace like we have. We have opened players eyes out in the world to see it as a good step for their careers.”

JHT on Abu Kamara: “We’ve had lots of talks with Abu and he has talked openly about his situation. He was upset not to start against Oxford or Blackburn. It’s hard to deal with that. There was a surprise at the transfer request.”

JHT on Abu Kamara: “But we cannot give any players away for free. I knew he found it difficult his situation here. I don’t think it’s the right decision to hand in a transfer request, we can find better ways to deal with it.”

JHT on Montoia: “We gave him some minutes in pre-season. We found it’s too big a step for him to compete for the first team. We felt it’s best for him to go out as a free agent and find another club.”

JHT: “I would love to give the home fans a win tomorrow or last week. But we are still in a phase of the strategy where we are building what we want. A good performance is important.”

JHT on Hanley and Duffy: “Sometimes as a coach you need to take into consideration what they give on a daily basis. They support the younger guys which is so important for us. You need the experienced guys on the pitch or close to it to support the young players.”

JHT on Sainz: “He’s a fan favourite. I like him because he’s an emotional guy and what you see is what you get. It’s very important for teams to have these guys. He’s so much involved. He can create that atmosphere in a stadium as he can create things on his own.”

JHT on #SUFC: “I can guarantee we will be at the stadium on time.”
