don't panic!

maybe not a panic attack, snap ambush morelike sums it up pretty well.

anyway i was on a farting about mission in the west country the other week, sainsbury's in wells somerset stocking up. got to the checkout and some foreign lads in front of me didn't have enough moolah to pay for their shop. turned to me and asked if i could sub them out. checked pockets for cash, s**t my phone is f**king awol. code red.

retraced steps no sign of it. went to customer services "has anyone handed in a phone please?" "erm dunno i've just come on shift let me check... no".

f**k me what do i do it's got all my bank cards in it, drivers licence, yada yada everything.

i know exactly what i shall do, panic! nope not yet, so i run around retracing my steps, nothing.

this really is not good.

i need to cancel everything down, phone, cards the lot my life pretty much is in that f**king stupid thing. but how though? go back to campsite and use owners phone if they will let me? no choice. as i'm heading out the woman in customer services says "did you find it?" "uhm, no" i says despondently, so she says "you can use the store phone to ring your number if you like".

so i did and as it connects and rings through, then another member of staff walks around stage left holding my ringing phone.
