Depends who you are I suppose. Look at Everton. They scored

18 goals from set pieces last season, from a total of only 40 goals.

Pretty sure without those they would have been relegated.

It's not usually as easy to see as that though, as of course most teams in the upper list of most set piece goals simply sit in the top of the general scoring charts too.
