But I'm afraid you've misunderstood the nuances of English football parlance here.

When a side is aiming for or expects a 'top half finish', it means that their expectations are generally no higher than halfway.

For example, in the Premier League this season, you may put Crystal Palace or Bournemouth in that category - but you wouldn't use this terminology for the ambitions of Arsenal or Manchester City.

This is my feeling about how Norwich will do this season. Above halfway, but not much better than that.
