You wouldn’t make a huge amount

105k for a 3000 venue. Out of that need to pay the event organisers who take care of the stage setup, security, ticketing, marketing, general staff, venue fees etc. An uneducated guess is that’s at least 50% of the ticket revenue (at 35 quid probably considerably more). But let’s say the band then gets 50% of the ticket revenue which I think is a huge overestimation. So they get 52k. From that they need to pay any band and staff related costs which as travel, accommodation, equipment etc. Then they need to pay the band staff - band members, management, roadies, etc, all of whom then get taxed on their payments.

And don’t think those profits get split. Some of that would need to be reinvested into the band company.

Can’t imagine they’re making more than 2 to 4 grand tops per band member at 35 quid a head.

Let’s say you do 20 a year. 40 to 80 grand before tax? Can barely live on that in London.

Of course I can be wildly wrong but my point is that it’s not so simple that they earn 100k a gig in a 3000 capacity venue.
